DJ Tatanka è il nome d'arte di Valerio Mascellino (Sarzana, 18 dicembre 1979), dj e produttore di musica Hardstyle.
Biografia
Il nome Tatanka proviene dalla lingua parlata dai Nativi Americani e significa letteralmente bisonte. Iniziò nel 1993, quando, con suo amico, si appassionò alla musica elettronica e iniziò a suonare come dj set in alcuni party privati. Ma il vero successo arrivò dopo qualche anno, quando iniziò a produrre musica hardstyle e nel 1998 pubblicò il suo primo vinile con l'etichetta Mammuth.
Questo era solo l'inizio dell'immensa carriera del Dj, che arrivò a pubblicare ben 47 vinili alla fine del 2007. Nella sua carriera ha collaborato con i più grandi artisti e produttori di musica hardstyle. Ha portato la sua musica nelle più famose discoteche italiane ed estere e in moltissimi eventi come il Qlimax. Nell'ultima edizione (2008) ha suonato come ultimo dj hardstyle prima del set hardcore proponendo solo tracce di sua produzione. Qualche anno fa, gli è stato persino dedicato un evento nei Paesi Bassi solo per lui, il "100% Dj Tatanka", svoltosi a Nijmegen, al Matrixx. Ancora oggi viene ospitato nelle migliori discoteche Hardstyle italiane ed europee. Eventi speciali olandesi organizzati dalla Label discografica "Q-Dance" come il "Qlimax" svolto allo stadio di Gelredome ogni anno, è un grande evento in cui lui prende sempre parte con grande interesse ed entusiasmo da parte dei suoi fans europei. Infatti, viene sempre ospitato con grande successo e considerato come un ospite fisso.
